Tuesday, May 27th- Friday, May 30th:
1.Everyone should have created a Google Account
2. Then, one member of your group should get the Research Guide (click here for directions on getting into Google Docs)
3. Invite your group members and Ms. Carl (bunnycarl@gmail.com) to collaborate
4. Each group member should research and contribute to the research guide. You may include any site information that you found last Friday.
5. Review and continue to review the project RUBRIC
6. THE PODCAST
Start writing your script: Copy and share this document to get your script.
Your job is to turn the recordings of your script into the final version of the podcast. This includes cutting out mistakes, arranging the various segments, adding sound effects and adding music. Together these elements will help make a final product that you can be proud of sharing with the world (and ultimately improve the telling of your experiment's story.)
The final version of your podcast needs to include the following elements.
- Cohesive Narrative
- Sound Effects
- Music
- An Intro
- An Outro
- Free of production mistakes
For some awesome sound effects go here.
7. Build your website:
THE WEBSITE
As part of producing your podcast your group needs a place to share what you've learned. Division of labor will serve you best here. Pick someone in your group to be responsible for editing your podcast and someone else to be responsible for making the website. The website needs to include the following elements to be successful:
- Introduction with a brief synopsis of what your program covers
- A page that discusses the particulars of the experiment
- A page that lists links you found useful
- A page that discusses the implications
- Pictures from the experiment
- Other media related (e.g.- video of the experiment)
This site will also be where you post the final version of your podcast.
In order to get started:
1. Using your Google Account, visit Google Sites and create a website about your experiment.
2. Don't know what to do in Google Sites? Visit here for help.
3. Share your site with bunnycarl@gmail.com
Thursday, May 22nd:
Take time today to read through the various experiments that I've listed below. Your job is to find out about these classic experiments, and choose three experiments that you could do a podcast on.
Start here by looking at the Experiments
After you and your group members have discussed which experiments you'd like, rank your top three choices - make sure you have 1st taken the time to brainstorm ideas about how you might go about telling the story of your experiment.
On a piece of paper please include the following information:
Group Names and emails
Choice #1:
Describe your ideas about how you might tell the story of this particular experiment
Choice #2
Describe your ideas about how you might tell the story of this particular experiment
Choice #3

Finally, if you do not yet have a Google account, please create one today. Thank you and see you tomorrow~!
